5. my parents met while studying abroad in france (and my grandma always makes fun of my mom because she had to go all the way to europe to find a husband.) but it’s precious — my mom’s friend was taking super long to get ready for class one morning, so my mom walked out and saw a group of ~young american men~ and asked one of them (spoiler alert: my dad) to walk her to class and the rest is history :’)
